Veterans for Community Empowerment (VCE) strengthens underserved communities through youth development, social-emotional learning, violence prevention, leadership development, financial literacy, and workforce readiness programs.
VCE delivers weekly, supervised programming for children, youth, and young adults that builds emotional regulation, communication, accountability, and peaceful conflict resolution using trauma-informed and restorative practices.
While not exclusively serving veterans, VCE provides veteran-informed mentorship and community support, connects residents to essential resources, and builds sustainable pathways for stability, leadership, and long-term empowerment.
Founded by Ron Steffens, a 100% disabled, honorably discharged veteran, VCE embodies veteran leadership rooted in service and community resilience.
VCE strengthens underserved communities through evidence-based, trauma-informed programs designed to empower youth and adults.
We build emotional regulation, communication skills, and accountability through weekly supervised programming that strengthens the whole person.
Using trauma-informed restorative practices, we equip youth with tools for peaceful problem-solving and building healthier communities.
We cultivate confidence, decision-making skills, and civic engagement through mentorship and structured leadership opportunities.
Youth learn budgeting, saving, credit management, and pathways to economic stability and long-term empowerment.
We prepare youth for career success with job skills training, professional development, and meaningful employment pathways.
Our veteran-led team brings lived experience, resilience, and authentic mentorship rooted in service and community support.
